REGULATORY PENALTIES

I. TIME PENALTIES

Time penalties will be imposed by the Organizer in proportion to the type and degree of the offense; in particular, they will be measured each time for:

  • drafting behind vehicle,
  • drafting behind a cyclist other than a participant of the Marathon,
  • riding during in limited visibility conditions or after dark without the required lighting,
  • riding in a group of more than 15 people,
  • obstructing the traffic of other vehicles (including: using more than one lane by a group),
  • crossing a closed railway crossing,
  • riding on a red light,
  • littering the race route,
  • unjustified change of the route

In particularly justified cases, the time penalty may take the form of disqualification.

II. DISQUALIFICATION

Disqualification will be imposed by the Organizer unconditionally for specific violations of the Marathon Regulations, in particular for:

  • riding under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants,
  • riding a bicycle other than powered solely by the strength of one’s own muscles,
  • use of a support car or other vehicle,
  • use of own accommodation, nutrition or provisioning points,
  • the use of bag drops on the route and any organized external assistance.
